The logistics, organization, and hierarchy is almost laughable. A lot of the hires are high schoolers or retired individuals looking for an extra job. The people that truly need hours are more often than not over looked. You can work really hard for the company for years but if they have favorites, your work won't count as much unfortunately. This is coming from a person that has only worked there under a year and this is all from an outsider's point of view. The lack of respect is ghastly. Management can easily disrespect anyone and get away with it. It will be reported to HR, however, HR and management are close in personal relations and very regrettably get away with mistreating base-pay employees. The company has a very long way to go with basic structure and true HR expectations. If there are any issues with your work ethic, you will get immediate repercussions if they do not favor you. However, if they fear you, or favor you, you can get away with things going as far as harassment. Requesting time off is something that is few and far between, I personally have received most of the time off I have requested, yet I hear other employees that get denied and often put in two weeks because they have important events to attend to.
