Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians

Pros

Within just about every department there are passionate, excited people that invested in the success of the company. The people that have been there the longest tend to be the most wholesome and engaging personalities I have ever met. Their insurance might not be the best, but the 401k is incredible. That is more an Osram perk (parent company) than a Fluence thing.

Cons

A company with ~200 employees, but seems like half of them are managers, C-level executives or VP's. Most everyone treats their department like their own personal fiefdom. Getting answers from one department requires you to CC just about everyone in that department no matter how small the request. Upper management would be stronger if they hired from within, but almost everyone promoted comes from outside with no idea of the culture or purpose. They know what worked in other industries, ignoring how unique the one they are in is. They are focused on structure and procedure, but think that is all it takes. It seems they feel if you throw up enough roadblocks people will go the direction they want instead of just getting frustrated with the process.

Pros

This was a team of the most dedicated people at every level I ever worked with. Dedicated, Immensely Intelligent, Hard Working.

Cons

This same Team was Under Appreciated, Under Paid, constantly being presented with Road Blocks and Delays be Management. Trivial Micro Management to the point of having to write purchase orders and send them to your Manager for POs for $39.00 because the Senior Manager on site has no faith in his people. Seems like there were good by parties every week because so many good people have had enough and bailed. Outsourcing of the high running products has most people afraid for their jobs. Reassurance from Management that never gives raises but accepts their large bonuses every year leads to mistrust.

They don't listen to employees

Pros

I mean some people have positive attitudes, these people are usually new. The benefits are decent if you ever get hired on permanently.

Cons

Upper management doesn't listen to employees. Overworked and underpaid employees. They made everyone work through COVID and barely gave raises after 2+ years of waiting. The culture is toxic and people have low morale.
