Pros

Excellent compensation, based on the San Fran Median for the industry. Fantastic culture, remote async at its best! Lots of great perks, company meetup somewhere around the globe being the best and very supportive no-fuss work environment. Lots of context and low bureaucracy - love working here.

Cons

Not much to add here other than if you are not experienced in async remote work it can be a challenge for some folks. Especially those that do not either have a strong social network either through coworking, professional networks or outside of work.

Pros

- Remote anywhere - Asynchronous - Great colleagues - Great salary - C Level are the best I've ever worked for - Rewarding work and great management, you feel like you're contributing

Cons

- Async can be difficult at first but it's fine after some getting used too, otherwise, no negatives

Pros

The biggest pro of working at Float has been getting to work with such smart, talented, and kind individuals from around the world. Within my first three months I have already been provided with lots of opportunities for learning and growth. The onboarding is thorough and you can tell the team has invested a lot of time getting new team members up to speed. Float has a very supportive and collaborative environment where folks feel valued and motivated to produce their best work.

Cons

Being a fully asynchronous company can present unique challenges due to time differences and requires more time being spent on communication channels to keep collaboration high. The benefits of working with a diverse team from around the world and the flexibility to work on your own schedule outweighs these challenges.

So glad to hear that the onboarding and your first 3-months provided you with everything you needed to be successful in your role - that's the goal! We ask all new hires for feedback when they start as they work through the process so we can keep refining and continuously improve.
