Pros

Steve, the creative director is a great leader. Alex is a wonderful and caring tech lead. The smallness of the team allows for a lot of dynamic opportunities and a lot of chances to try on different roles and aspects to your role.

Cons

This is a small company so much of the time is spent both working on projects as well as trying to gain new initiatives. There is a lot of hand-to-mouth at this company. Jon Fox can be emotional and reactionary, often getting angry that projects take as long as developers have estimated because he halves the time/cost when presenting it to the customer. There is also not a lot of opportunity for advancement.

Pros

The folks who do the work, your designers, project managers, tech team, etc., are all wonderful. These are talented people who care about the work and are good at what they do. They take pride in doing a good job and work very hard to put out a quality product.

Cons

Like the others have said, the biggest con about Flightpath is the CEO, Jon Fox. Running the company like his personal fiefdom, Jon Fox has some of the most ridiculous business practices I've ever seen. He will routinely force teams to underestimate projects from both a time and cost perspective, and then will immediately halve the estimate when it comes to his desk for final approval. Then, when the work comes in over budget and delayed, he will hold anyone but himself responsible for the overages. Jon is unfortunately very immature, and like others have said, prone to grudges. He gets angry for no reason, and is a perfect case study for "reactive" versus "proactive." Get on his bad side and you could easily find yourself fired for zero legitimate reason. He's a wrongful termination lawsuit waiting to happen. Good talent abounds here, but they leave far too often or far too soon once they see the underbelly of this place. It's a shame, because Flightpath could do some amazing things if Jon Fox was out of the picture. Instead, nobody has any idea who they are or what they do.

Pros

Most people are nice to work with.

Cons

Low pay, and people are asked to do tasks that are not in their job description.
