Self-referential, boiled company

Pros

Smart working. Please note the CEO is not Stefano Parisi (as wrongly named in the present form) since long.

Cons

So much rhetoric and little substance. Managers seems to live on Mount Olympus and struggle to keep the status quo, talking about values far away from everyday working life. One fifth of the working population is made of middle managers, aged about 45 and who have spent very little in updating their competences, that are obsolete and out of market. They won't leave the company and act as a barrier to the bottom-up growth. The company self-proposes as innovative, but the last innovation taken to the market was in 2006.

Pros

good place to start a career if you are young, good brand and lot of space to expose your ideas and do the hands-on-work. need to leave after 2 years.

Cons

Poor HR management, no career development path for employees in a 18 years company is simply embarrassing. Conflict of interest of management, a little oligarchy. Company is slogan-based and describes itself as innovative, but nothing ever changes in C-management and lines.

Pros

You'll have a chance to work with smart people in an exiting and very competitive market

Cons

Slow, waterfall approach, needlessly bureaucratic. From a technical standpoint I've never seen such a misuse of old and obsolete technologies. If you are a software engineer and you like your job, then you should look elsewhere. No one have a clue about software development best practices. Use of SCM is mostly unknown, SVN is somehow adopted, depending of the team. Anyone is adverse to the "Let's make it better" philosophy. If you are a great politician you may end to be promoted and rewarded. If you are a smart engineer who just want to do its job , be prepared to be perceived as a cost from the entire organization. Do not even try to propose modern well known and industry-standard solutions to a well known problems solved by the industry by years. No one will support you, reinvent the wheel, adopt 2000 patterns and technology and you'll be fine
