Cons
Leadership at times lacked professionalism and consistency in communication and decision-making. Limited transparency from leadership regarding involvement in projects and allocation of revenue or credit. Questions about these decisions were not always welcomed, as they did not want employees to know that they were talking money away from the employee. Frequently shifting priorities made it difficult to establish stable workflows or maintain progress on long-term initiatives. A ton of favoritism within executive leadership; job security and advancement appeared influenced by relationships rather than performance alone. The Operations team was consistently understaffed, creating workload strain and limiting employees’ ability to perform effectively. This ultimately led to the demise of that team, and the departure of a very respected leader (COO). Strong emphasis on after-hours social culture; employees who did not participate in happy hours or company events outside of work sometimes felt disadvantaged and were considered to not be "bought in." While diversity and inclusion were discussed, observed behaviors did not always align with those values. This included inappropriate commentary in meetings and limited visible diversity in hiring practices.
