Pros
- remote working - hours can sometimes be flexible especially for employees with children.
Cons
Dysfunctional culture where accountability appeared to depend on personal relationships rather than professional conduct. Persistent bullying, gossip, and belittling behaviour from a manager married to the Head of SEO appeared to go unchallenged, reinforcing a perception that accountability depended on personal relationships, and professionalism came second to favouritism. The company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion did not reflect my experience. Black and Brown employees appeared to leave at a higher rate, while senior leadership and management remained entirely white throughout my time there. Leadership quality was inconsistent, with some senior leaders displaying concerning behaviour, poor people management, and ineffective communication skills. A toxic feedback culture where honest feedback was not encouraged or handled constructively. Pay and benefits did not reflect expectations. Employee wellbeing appeared to be a low priority. Cost-cutting measures included requiring employees who had never previously met to share hotel rooms during mandatory overnight company-wide events, with little apparent consideration for personal comfort or privacy. A notable lack of trust in employees
