Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so glad to hear that you experience of Equator has been a positive one. The last couple of years have shown a great level of growth and we are working hard to continue to grow the business, our team and our offering to our clients. We love the fact that we have our tribes within the business that allow for ease of collaboration as well as giving us a clear scalable model to take us into the next era of Equator. We know its a busy environment and we are trying to make sure we continuously get feedback, review and improve our processes to make sure we are working in the most effective way that hopefully helps our team manage their day to day. We are all having to adapt to new way of working following the pandemic and the introduction of hybrid working but we think our team are managing really well and we are adapting and constantly learning what works best for us as a team and as a business.

Pros

Clean office International client base for a Scottish agency

Cons

The hiring process was a complete disgrace. Taking 7 months from the first interview to start date with barely any correspondence. Regimented scheduling. Every hour is timed down by a scheduling team which has to be obeyed strictly. Therefore there is no autonomy and value to tasks is unweighted. Inflexible working environment. Policy against taking doctors appointments during 9am-5.30pm. Very corporate for a digital agency. Numbers and targets focused, which have to be presented. Organised fun. Clocking in and out etc. Massive focus on hourly billing of clients. Monthly team meeting held over lunch hour (employees own time) to avoid cutting into work time. Strange atmosphere in the office. Almost like speaking can be seen as taboo at times, especially at the start of the week. At points you could hear a pin drop in a room that has 60 people in it. Management cold yet takes professional decisions very personally. General humour that I experienced was very sexual based, often inappropriate and uncomfortable. Low salary. No benefits at all really. Most industry standard benefits would include private healthcare etc. This isn’t the case at Equator. The only benefit is the gym membership where the provider is a client.
