They are literally mass firing people today and blindsiding them

Pros

Was a good place to work prior to going live on the NASDAQ

Cons

They massfired half of Canada with no warning a month ago, and this morning they will fire the other half of Canada with no warning forcing them all to make a commute to work and then letting them know they are now jobless. Last week we did a meeting with the CEO who said he has no updates but was planning to let Canada go. Our services have been removed off Rogers website already so this is the end. The CEO said directly in that call that they thought the experts were “unfulfilled” if they were not seeing 7 people a day so getting fired was best for them. Word for word out of Ron’s mouth. They opened it up for questioning, took two planted questions and abruptly ended the zoom meeting while hands were still up. A cruel place to work that treats you like you are less than. They sent out emails by accident to the UK staff that said they weren’t sure if anyone was going to get paid and they delete any post anyone has made about it in company channels.

Pros

Since we're all so miserable, it's good that the job makes it easy to avoid the job. - great benefits plan - moderately general shift scheduling - leniency for shift changes and PTO - generally kind-hearted management - lots of alone time driving and listening to music

Cons

- exploitive practices such as offering "career experiences" for roles that they don't want to pay someone the full expected wage for and demoting those roles back to the field once the time is up so they don't need to offer promotions - constantly chasing a moving target with changing sales target expectations, while providing no proper guidance on how to achieve the new goals - management while kind-hearted, has no idea how to lead teams or truly sell - the amount of stamina required to stay "on" all day while trying to reach unreasonable sales targets negates the benefits of having only 4 days workweeks - you spend 3 days recovering from the exhaustion - extreme favouritism in promotions, most recipients of promotions are underwhelmingly prepared and lack the life and work experience to properly lead teams - deceptive on true nature of the role - told it was a customer service experience obsessed positions but rather it is selling at all costs, be ruthless, act like corporate.

Pros

work life balance, benefits available from day 1,

Cons

The captains have no presence in the market. ‘Work from home’ and are on calls all day everyday with no support to their team. Favouritism is a strong thing that’s happened in Canada and equal opportunities are not there even though the company ‘tries’ to promote it. Head office have nothing to do with markets, it’s quite sad it’s not really a big company with only 1100 employees in total, yet the people earning the big money can’t be bothered to be engaged with the markets or the people doing the work. There’s a random generic video Ron might film and add in a newsletter but there’s definitely no personal commitment to the markets which is quite sad.
