Poorly managed

Pros

One of the standout aspects of this company is the exceptional group of individuals working in non-leadership positions. These employees are hardworking and collaborative and bring a wealth of talent to the table. Their dedication to delivering high-quality work and supporting one another creates a positive and productive environment within the team. Despite challenges in leadership or communication, the effort and commitment of these individuals keep the company moving forward. They consistently demonstrate creativity, problem-solving, and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure success.

Cons

I had high hopes when I joined EA, but unfortunately, the management style and workplace environment left much to be desired. Communication is a major issue—important updates and decisions are often not shared in a timely manner, leaving employees feeling out of the loop and undervalued. Leadership seems resistant to feedback and hesitant to embrace change, even when it’s clear that adjustments could improve workflows and employee satisfaction. Suggestions for improvement are frequently dismissed without consideration, fostering a sense of frustration among the team. Additionally, there’s a noticeable lack of transparency. Decisions are made behind closed doors, and employees are expected to adapt without explanation or input. This approach creates a divide between leadership and staff, making it difficult to feel engaged or motivated. Overall, while there are talented individuals working here, the management’s reluctance to communicate openly or embrace new ideas significantly undermines the potential of the organization. I hope they take steps to address these issues for the sake of their employees and the company's future.

Pros

Small size projects and teams were you learn a lot about everything if you are eager to do so. Comp time, flexible hours, and bonuses for a small firm.

Cons

Office culture is very poor. Favoritism and gossip by the manager and senior staff. You are not invited to most design and client meetings. You do not collaborate with other architects because of the size of the projects. No diversity or any effort of inclusion of minorities.

Okay place as a career stepping stone to something better.

Pros

Flex hours, comp time, decent vacation, health insurance and 401K benefits package offsets mediocre pay; convenient location in third ward.

Cons

Office gossip runs rampant, be prepared to deal with internal backstabbing and partner favoritism on a daily basis. No structured hierarchy in place.
