Pros

The product and the support the company provides for the product is fantastic.

Cons

Not as advertised. Was hired as a Field Sales Executive and never once went out into the field. A few months into the role, was told it would be an inside position for the time being, focused on one aspect of the job. Was chained to the desk for a year, expected to make calls and send emails, while others with the same title went out on in person meetings. This never changed. They were NOT focused on making sales numbers, but rather making a certain number of calls and emails and tracking them. After 11 months in the role, was put on a PIP, not for missing sales numbers, which were attained, but for clerical things that were not followed up on in a timely fashion and things that they had to remind me how to do etc. Things which had been corrected since they occurred. And theses were not recent things either, mostly things that had happened seven months earlier, from the previous year in fact. The PIP was 30 days. Not 90 days, not 60 days. 30 days. 20 actual business days. The expectations were activity based, unrealistic and significantly more than anyone else in the same role was doing or had done. More than double and in some cases 5 times other's expectations. When this was brought up to HR and illustrated with facts, HR still backed up their leadership. HR is not on the side of the employee, but rather in leadership's pocket. When the 30 days were up and the expectations weren't met, termination. Sales quotas are extremely high, 23% and 27% for example and most reps are not making them. Several reps left earlier this year, voluntarily.

Pros

- Great team dynamics - Get to collaborate with a lot of intelligent people who are working to improve education - The pedagogy behind the product works

Cons

Not a major con but owned by Wiley so some decision making is out of zyBooks hands. Wiley provides a ton of benefits though so no real complaints there.
