Pros

The company is fully remote and work/life balance boundaries are respected. Easy to set your own hours that work for you. Everyone is super smart and talented, making it a pleasure to work here. As a small company there's always lots to do, and often lots of easy wins to feel like you're making a big difference, whereas at a big company you might put in a lot of effort to improve something only slightly. Good transparency from upper management about the health of the business overall.

Cons

Fully remote has its downsides too - lack of connection to colleagues, particularly when we work across all time zones. But this is being improved with more planned social activities. And there are inevitable cons with being a small company too. There are always a ton of projects to work on (which is a pro as long as you don't feel overwhelmed!), a lengthy backlog to get to, but things like documentation are often left behind, meaning it's sometimes hard to find exactly the info you're looking for.

Pros

vidIQ gives you a high degree of independence, You're often given a high level objective, but it's up to you to determine how best to achieve it. No micromanaging here. The culture really values innovation and expects everyone to come to the table with new ideas. Colleagues are constantly learning the latest trends, experimenting with new tools, and sharing updates with the team. Exploration and testing ideas are gold here, failure is celebrated because it means you are trying something new. There is a strong emphasis on AI, which makes it an exciting place to work if you're interested in learning and working with new technologies. It’s a customer-obsessed company, the CEO is always looking to shape the messaging and product to give creators the best experience possible. Leadership is approachable and strikes a good balance between understanding complex situations and making quick, confident decisions.

Cons

It’s a very fast-paced company. With so many important initiatives happening at once, it can sometimes be tough to juggle priorities.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. It’s great to hear that the culture of independence, experimentation, and customer focus has come through so clearly in your experience so far. We want people to feel trusted to figure out the best way to approach their work, and it’s encouraging to hear that this style is working well for you. It’s also good to know that the emphasis on innovation and AI has been energizing. Staying curious and trying new things are big parts of how we operate, and it’s great that you’re feeling that momentum on the team. We appreciate your feedback about the pace, too. With so many initiatives moving at once, things can definitely feel fast, and your note about keeping priorities aligned is an important reminder. This is something we continue to work on as we grow. Thanks again for sharing your experience. We're glad you’re here and appreciate the perspective you bring.
