Pros

-They will train you to be able to repair any type of device that you can think of. -No experience needed.. they will literally take an immigrant without citizenship. - A great job if your goal is land a position at a better paying, more professional device repair company but the goal company will not hire you without experience. (On the other hand..do not be fooled. Consumer electronics repair is literally bottom barrel, fast food of the tech industry. If you are trying to work your way up to a big techy job like IT, You will just waste time working here. )

Cons

-Practically start you off at minimum wage(a few cents above so they aren't "lying" to you when they tell you that the rate is above minimum wage. ) -in 2 years of work I got a $.50 cents raise, but was promised many raises throughout my employment while never receiving them. -job-training is not paid as advertised, they make you do it at home off the clock. -If you break a device on accident(even though you weren't taught to properly handle the problem in question) you are made to pay for the new device from your paycheck. Training is at least 100 different read-a- training-article--and-then-answer-questions tests for every device that takes you at least 3 weeks of work. The tests teach you barely any of what you need to know!

Pros

- Fast Paced, plenty to keep even the busiest hands occupied. - Room to learn an industry that will survive for as long as technology exists. - Some experience can translate well in other fields. - Good opportunity to earn commission through sales if requirements are met.

Cons

- If you are ONLY interested in a tech/tech repair focused position, this is not the job for you. Unless you have a decade of experience you will be expected to make sales, bargain for reviews, and go above and beyond at all times to increase store sales. - MASSIVE barriers to earn commissions. - No PTO - No sick days - No upward movement except for extrordinary circumstances. - Falls short of other employers in terms of compensation. - No raises whatsoever once you finish training. - Shady grey-area business practices, straddling the line of breach of contract with partnerships at some points. - You will be asked to lie, mislead, cheat, and manipulate not only customers, but the very partners that keep your stores in business. The partners of uBreakiFix (mainly Asurion) have to constantly update the terms and rules of their partnerships because you are expected to take complete advantage of every single customer that walks in your doors. If you have any sort of moral compass whatsoever, look somewhere else. The best way to survive at uBreakiFix is to KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN. They don't require experience, but expect to be thrown to the wolves as soon as your 90-days are up. Hit the ground running, keep your head down, and make sure your hands are clean at the end of the day.
