ok - Manager tenoverten Employee Review

Omg! I worked at their competitor called sundays before as a freelancer and they are absolutely the worst and the reviews on Glassdoor show it (can't wait for them to be exposed). I was scared to work here because of my previous experience at a "nontoxic" nail salon, but it turned out to be great. It's amazing that some companies live up to the expectations, so keep at it.

Great decor and a good selection of products. You will occasionally be gifted samples.

Cliquey upper management that makes work feel a lot like high school. The alleged perk of having free manicures and a free pedicure a month is pointless when new rules are imposed on a day by day basis as to when these can be redeemed if you aren't favored by upper management and part of their clique. The daily report is ridiculous. Grown women will monitor how long someone spends in the bathroom and include this in their notes. There is an air of superiority from the management towards the nail techs because of education level - which is pretty laughable. Well, not an air, actual comments were voiced in my presence which made me feel uncomfortable and bad for the nail technicians who have to answer to these women. You will be expected to cover any and every shift that upper management needs covered with no notice, but in the event you make any kind of scheduling request weeks in advance, this will not be dealt with until you have to text your manager repeatedly with maybe a day to sort out something you mentioned months prior. This happened multiple times. Overall just a really unpleasant environment with no support from management unless it suits them. No thanks!
