Pros
I’ve been with Slice for five years now, and there's been no looking back. It is a great place if you like a fast-paced environment where you actually get to try out new ideas and build things that are making a real dent in the fintech world. The pay is good and I have always found the yearly appraisals to be fair. While I know everyone’s experience can be different, I feel like any hurdles I’ve faced here are just the standard stuff you’d find at any big tech company. It is a fun, high-energy place to grow.
Cons
Since we are building such an innovative product, the work process can get a little crowded. It is a bittersweet situation because while it is great to have so many people involved, it leads to a lot of varying opinions. In the end, it often feels like only certain voices are heard, which can be tough when you are trying to move a project forward. Also, priorities from leadership tend to change pretty quickly. Now that we aren't a small startup anymore, things can feel a bit messy without a more set-in-stone way of doing things.
