Pros

I met several lifelong friends here who are some of the greatest people I’ve ever met and would love to work with them again at a functioning company.

Cons

It’s hard to put into words how deeply troubling this company is on so many levels. Leadership is clueless and lifeless. Locally in the US and globally. In fact, half of leadership is built of people either forced into the gig as a “player-coach” or people who begged their way into leadership because it was the only way to get a pay increase of any kind. US Leadership is out of touch on how company culture should work, unintelligent on how sales & sales teams should work, and downright weird and uncomfortably awkward on video calls and “team meetings”. I feel sorry for them. Leadership from overseas that have stepped in during 2025/2026 are some of the most ignorantly incompetent people I’ve ever come across. Their so called “strategies” will change almost weekly, they hit the panic button on every topic, remove and lower pay without notice to their sales team and worst of all, do not care to communicate any success overseas teams may be having to the US team. It’s like they despise ever having to speak to someone in the states for reasons unknown. The CEO tries to act like he cares by scheduling company “town halls” but he never presents or conveys anything to calm fears or worries. At one point, we were all asked to fill out a form with questions/concerns about the merger anonymously. All of the submissions were given to him before a company wide meeting. Instead of addressing any of them, he tossed the sheet aside and asked if anyone wanted to ask questions in front of the entire group. Once no one did, the call was over. Incompetence 101. For a company built around “better communication” as the flagship reasoning for it’s product existing, it was always laughable how bad the higher ups here were at conveying any and all messages. Instead of helping, leadership often pushes the panic button, has no idea how to form a plan to fix things, and will instead go completely silent on its employees. Ignoring employees requests for pay increase discussions, promotions, or any simple request. They hide behind their keyboard and just hope you forget to keep asking. Certain leadership also make it very well known they have “worked at respectable companies and have a ton of experience” to downplay any sort of reputation or accomplishment you thought you had as a regular employee. Approvals for anything take forever at simpleshow/D-iD. They post a position they want to hire for and even after several months of interviews, they will often pull the posting or claim they never had budget for it in the first place. Goals for sales/BD are unreachable for most and constantly changing, but unhinged leadership will tell you that “everything is fine” one minute and then go into a complete panic the next while completely shifting strategy for outbound/ICP’s etc. And then typically, lay off a group of people. It’s happened 4-5 times in the last several years. 95% of people here NEVER got a pay increase while I worked there. You can beg, schedule time with leadership to “present your case” but it means nothing if there’s legitimately no practice in place for employees to be evaluated on a quarterly/yearly basis. The only people I saw get raises were ones that begged and threatened to quit or those that were widely considered “leadership favorites”, but none of it was done based on performance or merit. This company runs under the premise that everybody doing multiple roles/jobs is the correct way to run a business, only nobody gets paid for extra work. You are just expected to do it. Even when the best employees would leave and present these issues in exit interviews with HR/Leadership, no one did anything to fix it. They wouldn’t even dare post a position to replace the fallen employee, they would just ask the next person in line to do double, triple or quadruple the work and “move the drill”, expecting people to just be happy they have a job. When I joined the company the culture was good (if not great) but the frustration, stress, and merger got to most people. There was active hate between certain employees and near complete distrust between the BD and sales team. In fact, in one case, a specific sales rep missed (or intentionally ignored) 4 different meetings booked for them by the BD team, never once having a legitimate excuse. But that person never received any discipline. I feel genuinely awful for those still stuck at this company. It’s a shell of what it was years ago. A company that used to be innovative and fresh, has now become a living nightmare. And no amount of panic sales team hires, mass email sends, pointless town halls, or new email domains can save it from collapsing. Sad.

Pros

Great people, easy to collaborate, remote work, a very cool and useful product. Great potential to be a leading tool in the market, but many changes need to happen in terms of strategy and leadership.

Cons

Very low morale across the board for quite some time. Due to downward business trend, uncertainty with an acquisition, lack of strategy, and even just lack of growth for an extended period of time. - Lack of strategy, poor pay to industry standard, no real alignment within leadership which also leads to the lack of strategy. - No real tangible efforts to take market share. No presence at events, lack of presence online in basic searches, etc. - No yearly raises (even just to balance out inflation) regardless of performance
