Pros
This company is at the front of a major shift in the commercial real estate arena. It’s well funded, has a great market offering, and some of the most genuine and intelligent people I’ve ever worked with.
The company is people focused, meaning they invest heavily in their people. Training for not only skills, but leadership at every level. The culture isn’t about perks or gimmicky, it feels sincere. It’s about trust. The snacks aren’t bad either.
Cons
There is a a lot of inertia to overcome in our industry. While this represents a great deal of opportunity, shifting the market to digital tools can be slow and frustrating.
The design team is still small and working out its process, but autonomy is there to define our own path. Respect for this team is currently high but we sometimes struggle to keep pace with feeding the dev team.
The design group hit major setbacks last year. It was devastating to the process. Kudos to the corporate leadership for taking those problems seriously and investing in seasoned levelheaded design leadership at the top.
