The Glassdoor negative reviews are true and the positive ones are encouraged by the company - I was asked to write a Glassdoor review after just a few months, which already felt off and highly uncomfortable. This place is a minefield hidden by buzzwords and “company values” that leaders don't follow themselves:
- Accountability: Supposedly means taking ownership, but in practice it meant I took the blame, even when I was given contradicting instructions. If I asked questions, that wasn’t “taking ownership" and no clear examples were provided.
- Collaboration: Claimed they “make each other better,” but any attempt to manage up (which was an actual assignment I had to do) or point out gaps in training or processes was shut down.
- Growth: Instead of supporting growth, they’d rather cut their losses and replace people, even if it meant losing months of momentum. The revolving door is real and at least six people left or were fired in the short time I was there.
Feedback was vague and contradictory. For example: I was told I should’ve known enough to demo a certain feature in depth and that it’s a “basic feature”, but that feature wasn’t in any training module. In fact, I specifically asked what I should be covering, and my plan okayed and this feature wasn't mentioned or flagged at all.
Later, when I asked if the feature should be added to the module so future hires wouldn’t make the same mistake, I was told no and that I wasn't taking accountability by pointing out this gap. In my opinion, accountability and collaboration here means one-way communication from the top.
I was told "there should be no more learning curve after six months", yet those with years at the company have shared they also needed time to find answers to questions.
I was more appreciated and had a better time in my first year of teaching than I did here. If you're a teacher looking to get out of teaching, I'd recommend you look elsewhere.
Leadership is disorganized, unsupportive or straight up accusatory if they're in disagreement with you, There are all of these Glassdoor reviews with the same comments throughout the years and nothing has changed. Mediocre pay and benefits for the sheer amount of stress and anxiety. Avoid this company at all costs.
