Co workers, benefits, nothing else

I'll start with the good here, your co workers. Awesome people that all get along and no drama behind the scenes. Benefits, they are pretty good but not amazing. Every thing else at this company is quiet hilarious how brutal it is. Management has no clear direction where the company is headed, they recently took over the c&d facility at the Edmonton waste management center and are not doing well. Did major cut backs on budget in the beginning of fall and has been terrible ever since. Cut to zero overtime, mandatory lunch breaks that were paid previously and now are not. Laid off half the staff there and everyone else remaining had to work twice as hard with no compensation. Schedule changes constantly to the buisness needs and completely disregard your personal needs. Having one or two people miss a day was huge because we barely had enough staff to be functional. Constant break downs with Band-Aid fixes. Promised raises after 3 months and 8 months later still no raise, for anyone on site. Pay is bottom of the barrel (get what you pay for) with tons of employee turn over. Supervisors were expected to repair / fix any and all equipment on site equivalent to what a millwright or Hd mechanic would do for twice the pay we received. The facility it's self is a disaster, the yard is packed with recyclables, waste and wood that they can't get rid of so it's slowly getting to the point where it will no longer be open for buisness unless they do some drastic changes. The scales are set up entirely wrong and are not on a permanent foundation like they are legally required to be. The plant is a nightmare, constantly breaks down due to the major overhaul it needs to be functioning, even then the plant just plain old doesn't work, the city gave it up for a reason. Management needs to wake the $&uk up and take care of the back end of this place as well as the employees before they all walk out as well. The company is a sinking ship with the management being the anchor.
