Pros

The pay for sales was decent for a while when they brought in qualified, experienced sales professionals. I liked my colleagues- we could commiserate over beers together.

Cons

The last few years the best sales people have left and they replace them with younger less experienced college grads. Management and HR have little clue what motivates people and they prefer younger sales engineers that they can mold and make them believe this is how it is everywhere. Growth every year is difficult based on their commission plan. Ask them to explain IN DEPTH the "delta" commission plan before signing on- most good sales people leave after a good year because the self defeating plan makes consecutive successful years nearly impossible. This is the definition of "Old Boy Network"- if you don't want to brown nose you are best getting out.

Pros

The company strongly promotes a sense of internal loyalty through its "Orange Blood" culture, presenting itself as a tight-knit family. While this can create a feeling of community for those who align closely with leadership expectations, it may feel less welcoming to individuals who value independent thinking or outside perspectives.

Cons

For some, the cultural intensity can verge on insularity, with a few observers informally comparing it to a "true believer" environment. Company events and traditions are frequent and lively, but may feel performative rather than inclusive to those who have not spent their entire careers with the company. Within the company there is a clear ambition to align with modern tech industry standards. But the company's foundations in industrial manufacturing continue to strongly influence its culture and operations. This heritage provides stability, but also limits the speed and flexibility associated with true technology-driven organizations. Overall, while the workplace appears friendly and committed on the surface, prospective employees should take time to evaluate whether the culture’s strong internal focus and industrial paced product development supports their long-term career growth.
