Pros
People really want to do things the right way at Ideeli. The coffee is free and abundant. The HR department is enthusiastic. It's a young company with many nice people.
Cons
Management made some poor mid level management choices. The environment of the company is one of chaos. Almost every single person I worked with in Engineering has either been fired, laid off or more likely quit. Ideeli's culture is all about showing everyone that you are the alpha male who does things in the alpha male way. How about a lets get stuff done attitude, without caring what we look like outwardly. That would do the company a lot of good. If you love meetings with 20 people that go on for hours you will love this job. Also as an engineer its incredibly difficult to concentrate and zone in on anything with the constant distractions and requirements to be in 50 Skype chat rooms simultaneously.
