Pros

Working at iStreamPlanet, you and your team will directly contribute to a high-performance, distributed multimedia delivery platform. This means solving a wide variety of technical challenges using modern technologies with the agility of working in a small engineering team. iSP is poised to fundamentally transform the commercial television broadcast industry, having recently been purchased by Turner Broadcasting / Time-Warner while continuing to roll out services for other large three-letter cable & television industry customers. It's no longer a matter of "what if?" but "how fast can we get this out?", and this makes working here a thrill with tremendous upside.

Cons

Engineers accustomed to working for large corporations with fixed ownership boundaries, particularly those hailing from "shrink wrap" software companies, may feel lost in this environment. iStreamPlanet has not yet grown out of its start-up phase, despite having several major customers and a deep roadmap. I, personally, love this, but employees need to be willing, ready, and able to change in order to grow with the industry and adapt to customer needs.
