Pros

Some really nice and smart people who are capable of doing great work. The company has an impressive list of customers, and the company is trying to reinvigorate itself itself through a new large corporate-wide project.

Cons

It's nice to see the focus on the new project, but the project itself is a boil-the-ocean effort that is quite possibly being over simplified. Also, the company is probably over estimating customer patience and/or desire to stick around for the project to deliver. It is unclear that the new project will deliver something significant to the market (rather than just clean up some of the internal process/messes within the company itself). Plenty of politics (cliques exist) and frequent praise of the current large project is mandatory. Management has favorites, and is subject to the "snow job" from them. Seemingly random choice of projects, many of questionable value, that seem to be decided within each department rather than driven by market/strategy/business/growth planning (but the new huge project is trying to buck this trend) Many rounds of layoffs, which are are more and more starting to cut good people too (yet some remain who should have been cut a long time ago).
