Pros

Considerate of disabilities as long as you're able to work

Cons

Bare minimum benefits (including lack of advancement); SEVERELY understaffed!; Corporate wannabe; Outdated file organization (digital & physical) * They take advantage of being a small business and provide the bare minimum employee benefits. This includes the lack of advancement. They will try to find ways to avoid giving you a raise when you near your annual review (you can try to reason for a raise only at this time) or will try to push you out the moment the owner doesn't like you (on a personal level). This means a lot of stuff they do can end up being unprofessional or underhanded at times. Most communication tends to be on the casual side which further blurs the line of professional and unprofessional, which can lead to further communication problems between management and employee. * Management displays toxic behavior in order to pressure you to quit as soon as possible as a means to avoid paying unemployment. You need to turn in a two-week notice to receive unemployment benefits. In order to pressure you---they start to micromanage your tasks so you're CONSTANTLY busy (minimal breaks); minimize communication; purposely give impossible tasks; and/or try to turn coworkers against you using hearsay, Note, owner does NOT like the phrase "I thought..." and had a passive-aggressive meeting in regards to this. * The company is SEVERELY understaffed that most employees are actively doing the work of other departments on the basis of assisting. This can lead to management to accuse that you are not focusing on your job. Additionally, tasks of each department are not clearly defined so certain tasks end up being monopolized and cause a gap due to lack of communication. * Owner treats the company like it is a corporation and that employees are easily replaceable. It is highly concerning that it almost seemed like a cult at times. * File structure and organization is horribly dated. They do not opt to update their servers and/or computers, simply coming up with bandaid solutions or relying on in-person staff applying technological know-how.

Cons

Inexperienced management Management talks down to staff and is overly aggressive towards them - Several employees have been yelled at or talked down to in a public chat. High turnover Toxic culture - they bullied several employees out when they were perceived to be a problem. They do not trust their own staff and consistently micromanage. They overpromise and never deliver. They listen but never implement change that would benefit staff. Lack of communication between departments which causes a lot of confusion and eats up more time. Lack of communication from management to staff in the occurrence that a change is implemented, leaving staff to figure it out on their own. Multiple hats with no increase of pay Outdated benefits - No PTO for the first year, then only 5 days the first year. Then 2 weeks at 2 years. 401K - not matching No upward mobility
