Pros

+Technically competent +Well-developed internal processes +Monthly staff meetings +Announcements of salary increases at least to compensate for inflation +Meat like water from the tap (if you like it...)

Cons

I remember personal Cons, financial.com was my worst employer up to this date, what I mean by that: I was severely humiliated here in a non-work-related context during a staff appraisal, probably to amuse my line manager. My team also thought it was funny and had a good laugh about it. I was even threatened with dismissal for non objective reasons, which is totally against German labour law! When i fell ill and was recognized as severely disabled after my time at financial.com, they fired me, violating my protection against dismissal. Nothing stood in the way of sacking me from an economic point of view, but there was a social component missing. The HR department emphasized in the exit talk that there would be a separation of powers and that they would have been the right contact person to resolve the matter. However, there is no ‘real’ employee representation, i.e. no works council and no representative body for severely disabled employees. Anyone who has characteristics, behaviours, beliefs, etc. that are not recognized in their eyes should be warned, and that is what I am doing! The arbitrarily humiliating line manager is still working there and received no consequences...

Thanks for your review. I am sorry to hear that you can not feel the excitement we have for our solutions, the team or the company itself. Feel free to have a look at our image video, maybe this helps to transmit some of the excitement to Canada as well :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4q2L3qDPIE

Pros

A dynamic environment that builds adaptability, resilience, and the ability to handle market leading product. Employees are talented and bring strong domain expertise, making collaboration intellectually engaging. Strong financial products used by global industry leaders.

Cons

Multiple rounds of layoff happened lately. Option given to either resign or get terminated. Certain individuals get favoured by creating custom roles for them to support their growth. Policies and benefits sometimes appear applied differently for different people, leading to perceived inequities like certification support, some people have permanent work from home while others not. Work culture can feel highly monitored, and employee concerns are not always addressed in a timely or open manner. Lack of transparency. Advice to Candidates: Don’t get fooled by 5 star reviews, majority are coerced positive reviews, read through the shallow content you will understand. This role may suit professionals who thrive in fast-paced, unpredictable environments and are comfortable with constant change. Before joining, it’s advisable to discuss performance expectations, job security terms, and career progression paths in detail. Speaking with current or ex employees can give you insights about the inside story helping you to take informed decision. There is a high churn of employees specially involuntary exits, please discuss severance policy and get it documented in offer letter before joining. Negotiate salary hike considering risk factors 100 % to 200%
