Pros
Career starter - get in, get experience and get out. ASAP! Pre-covid lunch was provided but budget was too low (£3 per person per day) so the groceries were never enough for everyone. You'll meet some great people in the form of your coworkers, even some clients are nice. Executive management are not pleasant.
Cons
Company preaches a "work hard play hard" attitude, what happens in reality is they want you to give 100%, pay you about 60% but we'll have a BBQ. (Even then bbq's were mostly self funded.) The salary is terrible. You're contracted to 46.25 hours Monday to Friday (40hr work, 1hr lunch, 15min break), you're also forced to work weekends, be on call at times, do shift work and still expected to stay back. You can find a regular 9-5 that pays just as average but without the faff. Compared to other tech companies ezyVet is way behind compared to my peers in other corporations even other startups. CEO is extremely rude, which most will accept since he's the CEO. Problem starts when less intelligent members of staff adopt the same mannerisms especially those in senior positions. Company believes what they offer is generous. This should be a red flag indicating that improvement won't happen, if a company can't admit there's a problem then there's no problem to fix. Company will cut costs and make savings on your expense.
