The actual work itself is stimulating and great for those who have problem solving as a strength.

Cons

This start up company failed to put the basic policies and procedures in place to protect employees. Management was constantly bending the rules to get another install, leaving the staff with the stress of doing the near impossible. If you presented rushed results as a result of a rushed install timeline, it was your fault and you were spoken down to. After having being bullied by a coworker for several months and no resolution, the coworker had quit. I was excited to move forward with a replacement hire, but to my dismay was told that they were not hiring a replacement and I can "do the job as long as I stay organized." Mind you, the employee that had quit had years experience and I had less than a year. I'd like to mention as well that on my first business trip the manager had food poisoning and had to leave me to do the install alone, and the management decided I was fine and didn't come up. Then the manager left with the work car, leaving me by myself with no vehicle, and the upper management still decided against coming up until halfway through the next day (because I needed a ride home.) I'd also like to mention that after the coworker I had conflict with left, so did my bonuses. This was something agreed upon when accepting the position. Since it offers no benefits, the bonuses were nice in lieu of that. However, I was told that the bonus program "only made sense when two people worked here." As if they hadn't shown me enough times that they are no support to me, both management went on vacation at the same time for weeks at a time and left me with multiple installs with timelines that broke procedure.
