Plenty of interesting technical challenges Relatively low stress - management doesn't panic when things go wrong and gives you the space to work on solutions Small company so you get to know most of your coworkers

Much of the manufacturing equipment is outdated, with spare parts hard to come by. Budgets are tight, sometimes forcing creative thinking to solve problems. Some of the (rented) facilities are in rough shape ... leaky roofs, etc.
