Pros

eLuma has shown me the upmost kindness and support since I began last November. They value my expertise and my employment with them and show it in every way. They make sure all clinicians are supported in various ways and are easy to reach with any questions or concerns. My transition was smooth and simple. I feel welcome and cherished, which I have not felt with other employers and settings before. Doing speech and language therapy online is awesome, but with eLuma, it goes beyond my expectations! I like that eLuma is a smaller company and strongly support/agree with their values and overall vision.

Cons

You have to get used less human contact. eLuma does their best to make you feel included with their various platforms, Zoom meetings, etc., so I would say this isn't a "con" for eLuma, just a "con" for teletherapy in general (that you have to learn to accept).

Pros Timely pay including pay for indirect time; access to a variety of testing materials

Cons

Poor to no communication regarding contract renewals; weak on-site communication. Unfortunately, from personal experience, eLuma has weak communication with contractors regarding on-site issues as well as contract renewals. If they are not renewing your contract, they may not tell you (which was my case) and instead, when you inquire, you are just told "schools are signing late this year," completing evading what is going on. There was an instance of another remote therapist being assigned to the school on the same day, the same time, and using the same room as I was using which reflects poor communication with the site to manage this situation appropriately.
