Pros
- Flexible working environment with the ability to choose when to work from home and manage your own schedule. - The company trusts employees to manage their work independently without constant pressure, allowing for a good level of autonomy. - Opportunities for internal mobility and the chance to take on different roles over time, though integration can sometimes be challenging. - An international environment that encourages collaboration across diverse teams, though this is less evident with the Polish team.
Cons
- Salary: Although the salary was competitive when I started, I did not receive any raises after switching roles. The company offered a slightly higher monthly salary after the acquisition, but the annual total (including a lower bonus) was disappointing. I had to push for a raise, but I have not had any increases since, with "lack of budget" always being the excuse. - Stability & Change: The company lacks transparency with employees, often making sudden layoffs without notice. Additionally, the systems implemented over time have worsened in quality as cost-saving measures were introduced. The workload has increased due to fewer staff and worse systems, which has led to feelings of demotivation and insignificance. The recent integration of the Polish team has made collaboration difficult, as they often display a superior attitude and insist that only their team works well. - Communication: While communication between teams is generally good, issues arise specifically with the Polish team, which is difficult to collaborate with due to their authoritarian and dismissive behavior. - Career Growth: Opportunities for advancement have diminished. Instead of opening new positions for career growth, there has been a shift in reporting lines, and there is tension around potential integration with the Polish team. - Team Management: The Polish team's behavior has been problematic; their approach is condescending and not conducive to cooperation, which has created frustration among employees. This issue is widely reported within the company.
