But a few days before start, HR calls to inform that they would have to resend the offer, blaming contactor. Met up with an engineer, who mentioned that it was due to the immigration status, as they need you to be a permanent resident of Canada or be a Canadian citizen. Guess someone overlooked the obvious, despite being clear and upfront with HR and management about the status. Not the right way to run a business.
