Pros

Cons

I worked at Allpay and initially appreciated the stability and fair (though not exceptional) salary. However, over time, it became clear that the company’s direction and culture were deteriorating. One of the most frustrating changes was the abrupt removal of remote working without any consultation or warning. This showed a lack of respect for employees’ work-life balance and offered no flexibility, despite previous arrangements. It’s clear that trust in employees has significantly eroded. The benefits package is non-existent beyond standard tax-deductible offerings. There are no meaningful perks or support systems in place, which is surprising for a company of this size. Career growth and development opportunities are limited, and recent pay freezes have only worsened morale. There’s also a clear divide between leadership and staff. Senior figures are given privileges such as exclusive access to certain entrances, reinforcing a "them vs. us" culture. The company seems increasingly hierarchical and out of touch with its workforce. Leadership lacks transparency and often reflects personal political ideologies publicly, including support for divisive figures — something that filters down into the workplace culture, whether intentionally or not. Overall, while Allpay may pay adequately for entry to mid-level roles, the lack of flexibility, benefits, communication, and respect for staff makes it a difficult place to grow or feel valued.

Pros

Free gym The people you work with are great because you all trauma bond Facilities team are so nice

Cons

Terrible management - like TERRIBLE Kiss up or get sacked Mean emails from MD when she feels like it, with no evidence or backing No budget (I mean ZERO) but huge expectations No pay increase for extra work They have their favourites who are their favourites because they gossip and report back all the office secrets MD not confident in her own abilities so covers up her mistakes by pointing the finger and randomly shouting through the office - very odd!! Crying after work becomes a daily routine No progression opportunities, in fact benefits were being removed The food offering is great if you want to die of obesity by the time you’re 35 (wedges are fire though) Big boss Tony is pretty nice though, doesn’t have much to do with the business anymore though and his minions have ruined the business
