Pros

alliantgroup does an amazing job at recruiting incredible people, despite the plethora of terrible review on here... probably because they require their employees to write 5 star review to move up through the company. None-the-less, the people you work with make the 10 hr work day, which typically turns into 12 hrs year-round, and 14+ in the busy season(6 months a year) bearable. I never knew I was capable of staring at a computer screen for 70 hours a week. Thanks, alliantgroup. You will be pushed past where you thought you could go. The metrics and billable hour requirements constantly change to encourage you to push both yourself and your ethics, while simultaneously questioning your self-worth. Thanks, alliantgroup. When you eventually leave this firm (turnover typically occurs around 1-2 years, maybe less if you are brave), you will undoubtedly join a firm where you excel, are highly valued, and treated with respect. Without the lack of respect and value shown to me at alliantgroup, I wouldn't appreciate my new job nearly as much. Thanks, alliantgroup.

Cons

While I was consistently a top performer according to metrics, I never felt like I was valued or "good enough". Just google "alliantgroup lawsuit". There are plenty of credible sources you will trust much more than a random person on glassdoor. I disregarded the negative glassdoor reviews thinking that these people were all just bitter and don't understand hardwork... I was wrong, hopefully this helps you avoid the same mistake. Again, I reiterate... the positive reviews ARE NOT REAL.

Pros

Expanding company with significant upside. Great comp packages and very quick growth opportunities. Benefits packages are over the top too.

Cons

High expectations around client experience can lead to high work load periods. It’s always been worth it in the the end but it’s definitely not a 9-5.

Pros

-Free(ish) cafe is awesome and the workers there are so nice -The building is cool -Relatively diverse -I had great relationships with my coworkers -One of the happiest days of my life was when I left the building for the last time

Cons

-Unclear job descriptions, constantly shifting responsibilities -Fraudulent billing practices towards clients was RAMPANT and encouraged. I think they've switched from hourly based billing but you were essentially punished for not overbilling -One time our team was brought in one by one to our managers office and asked to identify who the "weakest link" was on our team -Very strict about time off during the 5 months of tax season. I was once asked to cancel a trip I received approval for months in advance and when I refused I was asked to write an email to my supervisors explaining my decision and apologizing -Cliquey culture all the to the top, a lot of weird competitive stuff. Upward mobility requires a lot of playing games -HR doesn't help and can even be condescending -Desk arrangements changed all the time -Its understood you work a lot in the consulting industry but the lack of flexibility and staying until 6:30 everyday is very tough
