Pros

Excellent holiday schedule, bonuses. Quarterly bonuses based on performance. Insurance options. Holiday celebratory parties.

Cons

Poor professional judgment skills on part of hiring such as certain C level staff. Workplace became very toxic after AP team leaders implemented. Long running drug abuse issue taking place on company premises during company time, no response or action taken. Severely excessive socializing and lounging, detracting from overall productivity. There was also a major sexual harassment incident and massive, long running time clock abuse, this has led to stricter policies regarding punch ins. Accounting C level executives are external consultants direct hired from The Strategic CFO. These consultants indulge in double standards and are hypocritical in reprimanding certain employees while giving certain others a free pass for the same infractions or less. Productivity measurement systems are skewed and in accurate. Attempts at developing KPI have been delayed for more than three years now. Accounting Department C Level Executives have personal relationships with toxic employees and have compromised and disregarded their responsibility to be objective and to be focused on protecting the business. Rather, they protect the cliques they are trying to form. Directors and superiors of C Level Executives are absent and poorly informed of goings-on in the AP department due to manipulative C Level Executive staff, including public facing C Level representatives such as HR, are also involved in drug abuse and in protecting toxic employees. HR falsifies and will not take action on complaints launched regarding drug abuse and toxicity. Attempts to falsify private testimonies regarding a recently filed complaint about toxicity and drug abuse have taken place by C Level Executives. Pay is low compared to productivity expectations. Toleration of toxicity in Accounting Department Toxic co-workers. Workplace violence/sexual harassment incident. Verbally abusive behind the scenes across all levels. Discriminatory hiring practices based on gender and certain other categories. Unprofessional dress and behavior is tolerated. Aggressive environment on certain teams within Accounts Payable. Alcohol consumption at work during work hours. Extreme backlog of vendor invoices, backlog keeps growing even in low season. Long running AP short staffing issue. Inadequate hiring efforts - accounts payable chronically understaffed, yet criticized for low productivity amid ever increasing sales staff. Declining customer service quality from prior trend. Pay is replaced with fast food and pizza parties. Weekly Friday lunches changed to once a month lunch. Lack of productivity. Excessive socializing and lounging. Leadership staff will watch Netflix and FaceTime personal contacts while on company time. Highly politicized and politically charged environment. Politically extreme attitudes and radicalism in all segments of the company. Performance enhancing processes have always resulted in even more manual labor and research intensive AP process—counter intuitive and counter productive. Massive volume of transactions and invoices remain unaccounted for and are instead written off with journal entries to rush closing of accounting period. Frequent credit card fraud charges resulting in many auto pay vendors becoming upset and demanding payment, causing frequent service denials and consistent disruptions to AP process. Poorly training established protocol create numerous and frequently occurring vendor expenses that cannot be traced and posted correctly to AP sub ledger. Very rude and dismissive vibes in accounting building.

Pros

Two specific employee’s at Zters genuinely ruined my life for the time being. So I enjoyed working for this company at the beginning, but realized soon how tight knit it was, & the moment you rub anyone the wrong way within a certain “group,” you would be fired. Without any prior warnings, even though you’re told you would get a heads up and several warnings, especially if it was performance based. For context, I was hired on as an account manager & my partner was employed not longer after me. The culture at ZTERS really does feel like family as multiple families work there together, and I felt comfortable being able to work alongside my loving & supportive partner. Surprisingly enough, although he never had a desk job & had a physical laborious background, he enjoyed the job even more than I did. I was happy about that. And I thought it was a great opportunity for both of us to grow in this company due to my education background in Business Administration (even though they don’t require degrees) & his (newfound) talent to sell to construction companies. We both got along with everyone there, there wasn’t a single person I felt I was ever walking on egg shells with. They had a program that allowed me to finish my final course for college while employed there, that was fully funded by them, so I will say there are some amazing people who run the company! Furthermore, we were both excited to either move up in the company or perform so well that we would get awarded with many of the cool “prizes” they offer when employees exceed their sales goal.

Cons

That was until I realized that these CSS’s will fire you just because they’re tired of working with you, or having a bad day themselves for no other reason than their own. I know this because I was fired due to “not hitting my quota,” yet, I was forced into a brand new role, using a brand new system & within two months, they told me I was not performing to their standards. Although, most companies review these quotas that are punishable with resignation every quarter. That week specifically, I was the least performing BDR, but their were several weeks I was the top seller that week for either personal or business products. Therefore, there’s always one performer at the bottom of the sales list, yet, I was the only fired for this reason. My partner was fired because of “spelling errors,” or atleast that’s what he was told, even though he remained one of the top selling BDR’s the entire time, some days making up to six sales a day. My CSS at the time told me specifically at the beginning of the role that they would never fire anyone without several warnings or discussions about performance, due to the new systems in place. Also, I was 8 months pregnant. I was hesitant on writing this post, but due to these two CSS’s decisions to let us both go for reasons that I could genuinely sue this company over, ultimately ruined our lives for several (seemingly very long) months. Like I said, my partner recieved several awards for top salesman (one within his first 90 days!), yet again, they let him go due to reasons that every single person makes there every single day. It was totally abuse of power from these two women due to impulsivity & emotional irregulation , instead of true logic & explanation (so we will never actually know why we were ever fired).
