Pros

My experience with the company has been overwhelmingly positive from the very beginning. The initial interview process was smooth, well-organized, and transparent. Communication was clear and open, with straightforward explanations of job expectations, responsibilities, and scheduling. Every question I had was addressed thoroughly and respectfully. The onboarding process was equally efficient and stress-free. Expectations were clearly outlined in advance, and multiple check-ins ensured I had everything I needed to get started successfully. Resources, training, and support were provided proactively, which made for a seamless transition into the role. Management has consistently demonstrated a supportive and hands-off leadership style—providing clear direction without micromanaging. Regular check-ins help ensure progress is on track, and they make sure team members have the tools and materials needed to do their jobs well. Safety is clearly prioritized at every level, from leadership to long-standing team members. The culture here truly stands out. It’s inclusive, collaborative, and grounded in teamwork. Different teams openly rely on each other’s expertise, and ideas are shared and discussed with genuine respect. It’s a positive environment where team members support one another and work together toward common goals. Overall, this has been an excellent place to work, with strong communication, supportive leadership, and a culture that values safety, teamwork, and collaboration.

Cons

My experience with the company has been overwhelmingly positive, and I genuinely haven’t encountered anything negative during my time here.

Pros

Strong team environment with everyone working towards the same goals. Unlike so many other places, the different departments here all work together and happily collaborate on projects. The management team is great about having an open-door policy and helping with any issues that come up.

Cons

There are a lot of things going on at once, so it might be difficult for people who aren't great at prioritizing their work or tracking multiple projects simultaneously.

Pros

There are some really great people that work here.

Cons

The management has really poisoned this company in my opinion. The mission started out great, but the execution has been done poorly and there is no real business plan. The direction of the company and its priorities change based on the whims of the C suite. There is an emphasis on finding the "right answer" instead of trusting real data. They also heavily "encourage" good reviews on here so I would take those with a grain of salt. Different teams are treated differently, but management is quick to blame and if you get on their bad side it makes life at work miserable for you. I never had the worst of it, but found it very difficult to watch some of my colleagues be treated so unfairly. I saw this company through a lot of changes over the years and I used to love working here. I tried to make it work, but I eventually took a pay cut to get out.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and for the dedication you brought to Zero Carbon Systems over the years. It means a lot to hear that the people you worked with made a positive impact — that sense of community is something we genuinely cherish. We appreciate all feedback and reflect on it carefully. We recognize that every employee's journey here is unique, and we're sorry this one didn't end on the note we would have hoped for. We continue to work hard to build a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported. Clean energy is a dynamic and demanding space, and like any growing company, we are constantly learning and evolving. We see that adaptability as part of our commitment to the mission — finding the best path forward as the landscape around us changes. Supporting our people is something we care deeply about, and we always encourage team members to reach out to our People team whenever they need guidance or have concerns. That door is always open. We're proud of the work being done here every day, and we remain deeply committed to both our mission and the incredible team helping us pursue it.
