Pros
Home cooked food for lunch. Unlimited breaks in a day for unlimited hours and no one will ever question anything. You learn a ton of short cuts and hacks from co workers and CEO to do quick and easy work and adjust for free rather than paying for professional tools for work.
Cons
Senior Management (CEO, COO, CTO) are a joke and have no clue how to behave professionally with their peers and team. They are rude, petty and childish and hold grudges against anyone who says anything negative about the way they run the company. If one tries to give a suggestion on how to improve things, you are first belittled and ushered out the door. If you try to give suggestion a 2nd time, they politely listen and then tell you that they are going to do exactly what they want. If you give any criticisms or suggestions a 3rd time, they stop talking to you, stop answering your calls and stop replying to your pings and emails. Then they proceed to complain about you behind your back and tell everyone you are a bad worker. Finally, they try to force you to quit by asking other team members to slyly go to you and convince you to quit the company. Half the folks sit around jobless while the ones who actually do work are over worked only because they actually bothered to care about their job and role. So called BD managers spend all day painting their nails at their desk. Half the operations team is downstairs across the road drinking chai all day. Pace of tech development for the so called"India's largest E-commerce enabler" is so slow. Nothing ever gets done on the tech front. They are yet to release a module that was promised in early 2014. Any technology fix takes ages to implement. Because they cannot service clients tech needs currently, they take money from a client and hen outsource the work to a free lancer or a different ecommerce firm and then take credit. Benefits are virtually non-existent, though they are mentioned all over the website. Work in different department for one month and one month vacation policy is always discouraged because "it is not the right time". Peer to Peer reviews are a joke and contributes noting to employees professional development. Transparency exists in name only. Friday evening sessions and open projects happened once and then never again.
