Pros

Zental, and my line manager in particular, are highly supportive, approachable, and caring, creating a positive and inclusive working environment. It is the best company I have worked for, with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. Colleagues and leaders are generally very helpful, and there is a genuine willingness to support one another. The organisation looks at the whole picture, not just job titles, and is open to adapting where needed to support the individual as well as the business. This flexibility and person-centred approach aligns strongly with its values. There is also a clear focus on delivering outstanding patient care while supporting staff development and wellbeing. There are also some lovely perks such as fruit, water, and plenty of tea and coffee, as well as yearly awards and events which help maintain morale. The organisation is continuously evolving, listens to ideas, and is open to positive change.

Cons

The main area for improvement for me is communication across sites and teams. Although this has improved, there are still occasions where updates are not always clearly shared, and at times it can feel confusing due to the number of different leads and senior roles, which can make it less clear who to approach for specific information. Another contributing factor is the number of different apps and systems in use, which can sometimes cause confusion or frustration when accessing different platforms. That said, this is continually evolving, and the Senior Leadership Team have listened to feedback and are actively working to streamline systems and improve communication across the organisation.

Pros

Patient interactions and people skills as well as hands on training from the start really are a huge pro. Fast paced and dynamic as well as giving you autonomy to work and grow. SLT are on hand pulse checking and ensuring we succeed. There are often chances to take initiative, lead shifts, or support management, which can help with career progression. Teamwork and support is key at zental coordination with colleagues, which helps build strong teamwork and trust across the team.

Cons

You quickly learn how to handle situations like patient concerns or busy periods, improving your ability to think on your feet. It’s fast paced and you will never get bored
