Pros
If you work in one of the Denver offices you can have a great time while the rest of the company works.
Cons
- RSU in lieu of base cash - RSUs are granted each quarter, but are not yours nor vested until 12 to 15 months later, if you are a regular employee - Low base pay - No merit pay raises - No cost of living raises - If promoted and granted a salary increase, it will be back dated when or if given at all, several have had their raises pulled - CEO touts 20 to 25% of the company gets promoted quarterly, however these either don't get additional base pay or are the same people who promoted in previous quarters or cross promoted into other departments - Under powered support and engineering teams - Single threaded NOCs - Little to no training - No competent documentation, in-house created and left to become stale and out-dated - No organization to Documentation or a library of searchable documentation, its all in Salesforce, somewhere - Broken and outdated procedures - 401k contribution only paid annually, leave before Zayo has paid its contribution into the fund and you get 0% of the employer match - Self funded health insurance, costly for the younger healthy employees and higher co-pays for all employees. - No additional low cost life insurance outside of the company 50k policy - Acquisitions with plans to terminate employees without fully understanding the new company and then scrambling to re-hire or back fill - Low morale outside of Denver - Talent retention problems - Very new HR department suffering after years of subletting some HR duties to ADC "the payroll company" - Layoffs followed by New Hires duplicating other groups to keep business units separate - Survey and Survey responses that go un-answered, or receive tweaks to ignore common employee complaints - Negative reprisal at every level - Organizational Units which have only served to destroy each other unit's morale, caring, or undermine competencies - Musical Chair Management - 10 different supervisors, managers, or VP's in 2 years
