Pros

First 3 months your on gaurantee ($1500 bi-weekly) afterwhich if you receive a lucrative route you'll do fine. But don't except it just becoz! Ask to see the actual figures...don't fall for the okie-doke!

Cons

Route average are misleading. They don't take into account the lost customers etc... They tell you that you'll have a protected territory however that's a crock! You'll often see other sales reps within your territory as close as next door as well cold calling. Management play dirty games based on favortism and will stab you in the back in order to save their butts. They want you to work 10 hours a day without paying OT and constantly text and call you daily. Right hand never know's what the left is doing bottom line. The average route runs about 8-12K so don't expect to make much on 100% commission cos most of their customers leave do to overpricing and poor service from their reps taking advantage tryna make ends meet.

Pros

Zee Medical is a great job to start off with out of college to get outside sales experience. They give you a vehicle with a gas card so you don't have to worry about a vehicle expense. The territories are very big and guarded just for you. Management is very helpful and tries to provide all the tools necessary to do your job better. McKesson also provides excellent Health Care Benefits.

Cons

Long hours, even longer driving hours, low pay...I made around $1,500.00 to $2,500 per month average before taxes, but it's straight commission averaging around 18% of your sales (my goal was 16K monthly), you sometimes have to be a bill collector so you won't get charged back. Very little opportunity for advancement. My manager was awesome and he had been in the same postion for 21 years without advancement and told me he was frustrated because they were paying people more coming in the door than they were for his salary when his team always made goal every month and had been with the company so long. Also, you have to do a ton of paperwork, inventory and van reloading that takes 4-6 hours extra per-week with no compensation.
