Pros

Had a wonderful original team

Cons

The definition of a greek tragedy: a story in which the protagonist, usually a person of importance falls to disaster through the combination of a personal failing and circumstances with which he cannot deal. That person at Ytel is none other than its CEO Nick Newsom. This company was built on the backs and the ideas of its original team and the company was thriving soon after launch. When the company grew in stature, the CEO suddenly attributed the success of the business to his personal "brilliance." He started neglecting the original team in favor of new hires who praised him for anything and everything. His Ego ballooned, and the company lost its edge because of it. He never had a vision, it was something that was never in him. He was void of inspiration. At one point, he somehow convinced some poor VC in NYC to inject some growth capital into the business, and things took an immediate turn for the worst. Key members of the original team left and the company soon began to drop in revenue because of it. That trend continued and the company recently laid off the last of the original team. Nick Newsom didn't even have the guts to be there when it happened. The remaining men and women that built the business were dismissed by a nobody while its CEO hid at home.

Pros

The biggest pro at Ytel is it's people. They are the most talented, passionate, genuine and motivating group of people I have ever been lucky enough to work with. I get to come into an unbelievable office every day, to work with people who not only are the best in the industry in terms of talent, but in terms of quality of human. Other reasons why Ytel is the best: - Working on technology that is changing an age old industry, while getting a chance to literally effect change and leave your mark - The company puts the team first, and an emphasis on culture - From the top down, everyone is willing to roll up their sleeves and put in work - I never wake up dreading my day, I wake up looking forward to it - You're given a chance to get involved in areas of the business that you have interest in - The team truly has your back - We do things here that no other company can - Lunch is provided for us every day... on the company - New PTO plan is top notch - Tons of team events, including multiple family ones during the year - A CEO who truly cares about his people and leads by example - Did I mention a group full of insanely talented people who are also amazing humans?!?!

Cons

When the company provides lunch every day, as well as a ton of snacks, the Ytel 15 is no joke! We once had an issue with space, but our new AMAZING space changed that!
