Pros

Great values Autonomy in how you practice Supportive supervisors Great colleagues

Cons

The low is extremely low- like really low. Unless someone has family or partner support they are not able to live a quality lifestyle. No one works at a nonprofit to get rich, but we are doing difficult work making positive impacts in children’s lives and deserve to be able to live a nice life for the work we do. Even though the pay is extremely low the utilization rate is super high. It is difficult to meet the required units for each day without being completely overwhelmed and stressed out.

Pros

Flexible hours, compassionate coworkers, fulfilling work, diversified experiences, they encourage continued growth

Cons

As a director, on-call all hours of the day. If staff don't set good boundaries they can be easily burned out because there is always work to be done
