Pros
Some of the benefits were nice. There aren't really many pros to list regarding working for YRP.
Cons
Long hours, found myself having to start from as early as 3/4am & still not finishing until around 6/7pm whilst also being expected to work from home during the hours I wasn't physically at work & getting the same pay as I would if I'd only worked 3hrs that day due to the low salary & no overtime pay, which isn't great at all I might add. Very low paying job for the demands they put on you, such as; working 24/7. You are always expected to be on call & to drop everything & have no personal life as work comes first. Whether the phone was ringing at 4am, 12pm or 11pm, you were expected to answer & work. Higher management was poor, clearly a history of a lot of promotion from within rewarding tenure rather than management skill or knowledge. A lot arrogance & lack of management knowledge. Very highly knowledgable within glass works & that side of the business, but that does not correspond to a good manager/directer/CEO at all & it shows. Very, very little patience, blinking one too many times or breathing too heavily can wind up getting you sacked with no hesitation. Very cliquey, if you're an outsider coming into the business rather someone from within glass works, you are expected to know everything with little to no training. The company is only still running today because of the niche business they're in of glass bottle checking, no one else is in this market to challenge or run them out of business & the extremely low wages they pay mean they some how continue to make a turnover to pay the select protected higher people within the company ridiculous wages.
