Pros

-Flexible hours. -Free food. -Nothing else.

Cons

Worked at the newly opened Yorks-Paradise. -No communication from upper management. -Tonnes of employees hours cut down with no warning despite promises from management. -Poorly managed opening. -Never paid on time. -Constant issues with Wi-Fi and payroll. -GM went on holiday a 2 weeks after opening then left a week after returning. -Job roles completely changed within a month of opening.

- Appalling management from the start, clearly struggling to run anything. - management disappear during busy hours or work in sections that could easily be given to staff to work on, leave staff to fend for themselves but then get annoyed at staff. - Unable to take any criticism, any staff that speak up about issues coincidentally don't get as many shifts in the week. - Absolutely 0 communication from managers. - Head Chef is rude as heck stay away from him!!!!! - Not paying staff on time but also not communicating the situation - Gives half of the staff little to no hours a week as if people don't have bills to pay. If we wanted pocket money we would go do chores at home - Any staff that have handed notices in have had hours cut and not been paid on time - as if being punished????? - Managers are really cliquey - extremely unprofessional - Started off with job roles but quickly changed so that everyone was FOH, managers would take over on the coffee machine and bar instead of being actual managers, never seen such poorly made drinks in my life..... Such little care - Worlds weakest matcha goes to Yorks Cafe Id also like to mention the time when one of the co owners decided it would be a great idea to write a blog post (thinking no one would find out) about Yorks essentially slagging off all the staff members as if the managers are going such an incredible job.

- Awful management from the get go, opened a new site without anyone with any restaurant experience and have struggled to manage it. - Senior management are all lazy and are not active or proactive within the company to ensure any sort of flow or smooth running of any section. - Management refuse to listen to any staff members, or customer reviews to improve any part - thinking that they know best - Expect staff to go above and beyond for them however, they cannot pay their staff on time and create zero incentives - Senior management have clique-y behaviour, are extremely unprofessional and talk about all the staff behind their backs - Management have snubbed staff that have handed notices and hours were cut - Staff that were leaving were not paid on time - withholding pay like punishment - Do not listen to their staff and have made me cancel premade plans due to their poor planning so that management can have time off work instead - Management disappear at peak times and leave staff to fend for themselves during rush periods - Not paying staff on time and not communicating what is happening - playing with people's livelihoods and acting as though it's all dandy - Unable to take constructive criticism and take everything personally when given any
