      Pros

      It's a good work environment, my bosses are friendly and understanding. I feel very much a part of this community.

      Cons

      New Haven is no New York City. The winter here is miserable; the summer is muggy and super hot. But Yale is good to its students as far as jobs go, our minimum wage is super high.

      In academia, where salaries are generally lower than in the corporate sector, there can be a disproportionate amount of arrogance because many people are motivated by prestige and status rather than financial compensation.
