Pros

It's a paycheck, if they make you an offer and you don't currently have a job, at least you'll be making some money while you look for a real opportunity.

Cons

Don't ever expect to see a single positive message come from HR and/or ownership. Double standards everywhere you look while they pretend to treat all employees the same. Laughable benefits. 3 days of sick time per year, that was a generous increase from the 2 days per year we had, they made a big deal of this increase last year. No maternity/paternity leave. Expensive insurance, that they will encourage you every year to not use because it makes the cost go up, for a company that manufactures supplements they sure don't want people to go to the doctor to be healthy. Pitiful 401k match. The dress code is straight out of the '60s, an email from HR when updating the dress code actually mentioned to not show too much cleavage. Do you have piercings and/or tattoos? Yeah Xymogen's dress code related to those make police departments and Disney look positively futuristic. In this day and age most companies are treating their employees better and being more flexible, Xymogen is the exact opposite. Hurricane bearing down on the area? Expect to wait until the last second before finding out if they are going to close. But, if they say we are open you are expected come in but don't expect to see ownership there, they will be hunkered down in their mansions. Bottom line, ownership puts profits above anything and anyone.

Pros

The building is fairly new.

Cons

Never recommend this company to anyone looking for a fair or professional work environment. My experience here was incredibly upsetting, primarily due to the overwhelming nepotism and favoritism. Your individual talent will be exploited, only for ownership to send the most unqualified individuals for training opportunities or handing out awards based on others merits. Only in a dysfunctional organization like this can an individual that barely got through high school, magically get a high level technical position working with SAP. It’s clear that promotions and opportunities are often based on who you know in the family. If you’re not valued or are part of the “inner circle,” no amount of hard work or dedication will get you anywhere. Ownership, more often than not, prioritize other family members and close friends over skilled or qualified employees. This favoritism extends beyond promotions—day-to-day decisions and resource allocation are heavily influenced by who has the ear of a Blackburn, leaving employees who actually do their jobs without recognition or support. It’s insulting to see that effort, experience, and competence don’t matter. The atmosphere feels more like a high school clique than a professional workspace. Overall, steer clear of this company if you value fairness, honesty, transparency, and opportunities based on merit.
