Xiatech Response
11moThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While it's disappointing to hear about your negative experience, we genuinely appreciate honest input - especially when it highlights areas where we need to improve.
We’re glad you found value in our remote setup and access to the London office. Flexibility remains a key part of our culture.
That said, we take the concerns you've raised seriously:
Training and Onboarding: You're right - a structured onboarding and training framework is essential. Our general company onboarding receives great feedback, however we have identified we can improve project onboarding. We’re currently creating platform training to ensure new team members feel properly supported past their first week, and documentation around project onboarding continues to build. Recent new joiners have shared positive feedback so we believe we're moving in the right direction!
Communication and Delivery Gaps: We now have a clear process in place to ensure alignment between what is promised to clients and what teams are resourced to deliver. We’re scaling rapidly and this can sometimes be challenging to navigate. We are open and honest regarding the quick (and exciting!) pace with candidates in our interview process, and monitor and offer support to existing team members to ensure they feel valued.
Culture and Inclusivity: We regret that your experience felt isolating. Most of our staff enjoy the flexibility we offer around remote / hybrid working, but we appreciate this isn’t for everyone. We have an office in Fitzrovia, London where we encourage employees to work from, but we allow them to decide for themselves and don’t force anyone into the office. This may impact a traditional view of team bonding.
No-Meeting Thursdays: This policy was designed to give people focus time, and has recently been reinforced. We’re finding it’s now been used more effectively but understand that under pressure this can get misused. We encourage open communication between peers to resolve this.
Probation Benefits: As a fair and supportive employer we offer paid leave during probation periods, so your feedback is incorrect on this point.
Advice to management: We take your feedback onboard and we’re aware we can’t see everything. As a non-hierarchical business we actively listen to our team members at all levels through 121s, coffee mornings, culture survey feedback, and more. There’s always room for improvement and we’ll continue evaluating how we listen to and action feedback from our staff.
We’re sorry your experience at Xiatech wasn’t what you expected - we’ll continue to listen and improve. We wish you best of luck in your new role.
