Pros
Most front line managers are awesome, there is always new and unique customer driven challenges, rarely bored.
Cons
Employee retention is poor due to marginal annual merit increases. Back filling is a months long bureaucratic nightmare before making the posting, and a month long process after they accept the experienced position with below average pay. Involuntary reductions in force constantly take necessary members of the team without notice.
