Pros

There are many opportunities to learn advanced technical skills. First and second level managers are usually very sensible and fair in all regards. Working for a large company like Xerox gives you access for resources that smaller companies cannot, such as large sums of money for prototypes.

Cons

The opinions of those with the technical skills usually do not influence product development. Senior management (many levels up from individual contributors) does not provide a clear path to follow. Information sharing within the company is very poor resulting in duplicated efforts and lost productivity. Poor choices are made about outsourcing work, both in outsourcing work that should stay within the company and not outsourcing work that should go to a contractor.

Pros

Big company with solid benefits

Cons

Pay is not on par with competition and raises are very hard to get. If you don't get what you are looking for when hired you will likely never get it.
