Pros

Market salaries and benefits; Above market for higher performers with years of experience. Good employee programs such as volunteering time off, employee resource groups, learning and development opportunities, etc.

Cons

Employee experiences depend greatly upon the group you work within. Middle-management often expected to deliver director-level work. Typical "utility" mentality and processes with a lot of potential for culture and engagement improvement.

Pros

Work-life balance, okay benefits, and cemented impact on the community

Cons

Because the company has a bottom line, promotional paths aren't really a thing beyond individual contributor to manager. I don't know what the next level up would be besides that.
