Pros

Released after buyout - none that I can tell

Cons

I was released after the Con-way buyout on 10/30/2015. For many months leading up to the buyout, XPO management, including the CEO, hosted town halls exclaiming that layoffs would not happen day one of the purchase - this was not the case. In one day on the Portland campus of what was Con-way, XPO decided to layoff around 200 employees that were told it would not happen like this. The CEO is not trustworthy. I'm lucky enough to have backup plans, but I fear others didn't have this luxury. At the end of the day, I'm happy to not work for a company as backhanded as XPO.

Pros

One of the better LTL companies I’ve been to. Will work with you for the most part

Cons

The vacation set up is dumb. No sick days you get 3 weeks PTO for sick and personal days and it’s almost impossible to take a day off you didn’t put in in November of the previous year then force you to use pto when you call in. Some management is ok but most is not the greatest
